  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Would like to make some Buck Saw's as Christmas gifts - need resources.

My sawvivor is made of aluminum, maybe I could make a similar style bigger one from aluminum stock. I may be able to make it in my machining class too and get it for free.

Hey TF,

I was just doing some research last week on this and plan on making a few soon to practice enough to become proficient at making them from scratch in the wild. The blades are so light weight and you should be able to build a frame with some 550 cord, your knife and the saw blade of a Vic Farmer or something similar.

Here's a couple of links to wilderness made ones:

The Mother Earth News one is the one I'm chose to build for around the house use.

Good luck with your project and show us your results!

Joe,

What is up with that kit? Why make a smaller one? What is up with the hook and chain on the walking stick?

All of that stuff just intrigues me. Good show!
