Would PVD coating ruin blade temper?

I'm looking into having a run of a few hundred tools and blades done in TiAlN coating that's applied at 700-800F. The tools are Victorinox stainless and I'm not sure of the exact steel composition they use but I was wondering if anyone thinks those temperatures would affect the hardness of the tools. They come in different hardnesses depending on if it's a blade or can opener or backspring and I can feel that when I drill the pivot holes out.

Any thoughts?

700-800 will almost certainly mess with the HT on the tools. Most steels are tempered around 400-500. Some are indeed higher like M4 at around 1000 but for the most part I would never do anything to a blade of a unknown ht "regime" that would raise the temperature of the blade over 300 just to be safe.
