Would there be any interest if I listed this Busse for sale on the Exchange?

Not sure what a "fishing expedition" is. If that means fishing for what this knife is worth, then guilty as charged. I didn't realize that was verboten.

Like I explained in my OP, I have no idea what the blade is worth, and I figured folks on here would. Listing it on the Exchange is a crap-shoot until I have some idea of what to ask. I don't want to ask way more than it's worth.... nor do I want to list it for a ridiculously-low price. I'm selling because I need the money, so I want to get full value for it.

I've tried to be clear all along that I've got no interest in violating the rules; just trying to get some idea of it's value.

Yeah, I thought about that. I went on Ebay and looked at Busse knives for sale.

What struck me was how many of them there are! Page after page after page....

The main reason I opted for coming here first, is that I figured folks here would have more of an appreciation for it's rarity.

Not really.... only one person has given me any indication of value, and he prefaced it by saying that he wasnt really up to speed on it.

It's been an interesting thread; but I still don't have any more idea than when I started, of what the ballpark value is....

It's definitely a weird issue and I'll take it at face value because you say you are new but your thread comes across as an auction by someone who didn't read the rules and after it's out there it's hard to put the Genie back in the bottle. The usual people do it so they can get around the sales rules that this isn't an auction house. Have you gotten any PM offers on it? That's the problem..

I hear you; but that ain't me.

Though I've been a member here since 2010, I'm not a regular, and not familiar with all the rules. And I definitely wasn't trying to find a sneaky way to get around them. Like I said in my OP, I'm just trying to find out what the blade is worth; and I figured that here would be the best place to find that out.

List it in the Busse Exchange for a price you’re comfortable selling at, include OBO and go from there.
