Would this bother you?

I have had this occur on (2) GEC's now, the first one is long been passed on for other reasons, and the other is a user. I just close it easily and sharpen it as needed, giving a little extra attention to the flat spot. It will eventually sharpen out, and as it is now, it only hits when it really snaps shut.

I sharpened the knife again and the blade no longer hits the backspring. I did not remove very much metal at all. My knife is fixed now.
I also wnated to thank Derrick for wanting to make this right. That Is why I will continue to buy from KSF!

You are welcome!

That's not okay, for a $120 knife. It is understandable why bigger knives slip through with this problem, but (with all due respect) I find it ridiculous to say it is okay.

If you send it to GEC they will fix it and have it back to you in like 1-3 weeks. Why not, you know?

They are great people, super easy to deal with, and they will fix it.

You didn't read the entire thread, did you.

An edge hitting the backspring would bother me a lot and is definitely a manufacturing defect worth returning the knife over (and getting one without the flaw).

I'm going to close this thread now. The OP's problem has been solved.
