Would this kiln be any good for heat treating?

I have the opportunity to buy a 1500Watt kiln, 8"x8"x4". Anyone know how to figure out how hot it would get? Could this be used to heat treat small (~11") blades?

Using some trig you can horizontally fit a blade of ~11.31" max in an 8"x8" kiln. Make sure the door doesn't take up some of the 8" or 11" won't fit. I don't know how the 45 degree placement affects the heat treat and you could only do one blade at a time...

Hats off to my esteemed colleague Mr. Steveba! The only thing I can think of to add is watch for hot spots when you start heating. Do you think the party selling this thing would let you fire it up prior to the sale? If so, just kick it on & throw a narrow bar in to watch the color changes. If it looks good to you, then it probably is.
