would you call it off centered?

Looks good enough for me. Like everyone says, try centering it yourself. Personally, if my blade is a little off center it doesn't really bother me. Best of luck.

Although it appears to be SLIGHTLY off-center, it's SO SLIGHT that I would never give it a second thought. Some issues are worth complaint, but I personally don't think a SLIGHTLY off-center blade is. Heck, I have several folders and I couldn't even tell you if they all had centered blades. As long as the blades don't rub on the liners, I'm good.

Also, consider the impact on a knife maker if everyone who found the SLIGHTEST imperfection in a knife sent it back. I wonder how long that knife maker could afford to stay in business or how high the prices of their knives would climb to compensate for the financial loss of dealing with every minor imperfection that someone found.

And who pays for the shipping to send the knives back and forth between the customer and the maker? And then of course there is shipping insurance to cover possible loss.

Naturally we all want our knives to come perfect from the maker/factory. And we want absolute satisfaction for our hard-earned money, especially when the knife is expensive to us. But consider the possible results of being a little too picky.

If you have an obsession with absolute perfection in a knife, don't punish the knifemaker for your own neurosis.;)

Most everyone is telling the OP to deal with it, and that is fine and I would probably do the same.
I don't care if ZT's are marketed as being overbuilt, hard use knives, but when someone pays nearly $300 for a knife, especially one that everyone agrees has superb fit n finish, I don't think it's at all unreasonable to be disappointed and want to return it.

I wouldn't worry about it , it's not 1k+ custom .
good chance you will get similar or worst knife after service.

$300?? Most of my $40 knives are better centered..

Yes it's off! There is no "slightly off", it's either on or off. Nothing a little adjustment won't fix.

Jezebel I only read the first half page of responses and couldn't take anymore. Yes it's slightly off center, without loctite on the pivot screw it will probably continue to go off center. Save yourself the shipping and buy a torx set and a tube of blue loctite. Simply by tweaking the screws in the body and pivot you can center a blade. That one is probably 1/8 turn of the pivot screw. You will need some torx screwdrivers anyway to take it apart to degrease the torsion bar when it dries out and starts to rattle.

I would pay the $10+ to ship it back and include a letter to the president of the company telling them about the terrible experience you had with their sub-par product. Or you can spend about 10 seconds adjusting the pivot screw and resolve the horrible issue with the defective knife.

No, it's not. You can see the edges of the backspacer and that shows that your camera "eye" is offset to the left a little. The knife is probably perfect.

OK , I blew the pic up to huge size ... the centering is OK as far as I can see but that tip , it looks bad , just saying , Id be not accepting that off a $10 junker
