Being a 124 "collector" I personally would get the colt. It is not important to me who customized the 124 handles. I d take a Leroy MOP 124 just as easy as a Buck Custom shop mop. It all depends on your collecting philosophy. I just collect beautiful knives and am not trying to have an historical record buck knife collection.
 
No, STEEL....Y, I didn't do the trade. And no, it is too risky to put the knife into my luggage and carry it halfway around the world with two transfers. I'm afraid to loose the knife on the way to or from Idaho. So I'm afraid the 124 beauty will stay at home this summer. It wood be nice to put it into Skyler's collection. As I understand he plans to show his collecting of mop-handled knifes. But there's the danger to loose the knife.
