You really don't want to become known as the "Teasin' Damascus Dork", do you?
When you finally get around to posting some real shots of that beauty, do us a favor and throw some specs up there along with it. Or are you gonna make us fill in the blanks
I can't really post the specs right now because I don't have the knife with me. Further, I don't evenknow much about the materials - it's kind of an odd story how I wound up with it in my posession, but I do intend to research it a bit more (re: blade and handle material and the techniques employed by the maker). But I do know this - the damascus was forged and knife made by a relatively new maker named Jason Tiensvold. Jason is in his late twenties and has only been doing this for a few years, but his damascus patterns and workmanship are exceptional. He's a member of the ABS, and I have a feeling we'll be hearing a lot more about his work in the years to come.
Come and get it Neil. Or, if you'd prefer not to spend the time or money to come all the way up to Vermont, then I might be able to think of something you could send me for a closer look as well. I'll give you a hint - it rhymes with the name of that famous Brazilian soccer player
