Would you pay an extra 10 maybe even 15 for factory edges to be mirror polished?

Mirrow polishing would be nice if they got the grind right in the first place. Too many expensive knives come with uneven grinds, and most all knives come with a rather obtuse edge.

I would rather pay extra for a properly ground edge over a mirror polished "factory" edge. If it happens to scare the hair off my arm then great, a bonus!

I would only pay for a mirror polished edge if it was going to be an expensive collector piece and never be used. I would never purchase such a knife so my answer is no.

the super sharp initial edge may fade but a touchup on the spydie ultra fine or even the white ceramic will continue to give you a super cutter for a long long time. the real advantage is the polished bevel behind the edge that reduces friction for all your tasks.

I'd pay Spyderco $10-15 to put their factory edge on my Benchmade.

Dear God AMEN to that!!!

Gold class carbon fiber grip in CPM M4 and I still didnt get a symmetric bevel freakin edge. What is their problem?

Me, yeah I probably would pay that extra for some knives. Like if my Stretch ZDP would come mirror. It would last long enough for it to be worth it.

Couldn't care less, I use my knives and they get rough. If I can put an edge on one like it just came new out of a Spyderco box, I'm a happy duck.

No, if it's going to be a user.

Maybe, if it's going to be a safe queen.

Yes, if it's no extra charge.
