Would you rely on the Fallkniven F1 in the Wilderness?

Hi TonyC

I've been using the F1 for a while! We had them in test for a period of 6 months in my unit. It's a very good knife, it will handle most of what you need from a knife in any outdoor situation. It's short, but very strong! We could cut some quiet big pieces of wood with it by hiting the back of the blade with another piece of wood. (sorry for my bad english).
I don't know about the new laminated stel, personnaly I think it's a step back to lower the cost of production, but there is still plenty of VG10 only in a lot of shops!
Take a look at the A1! our unit finaly adopted it!

oups...I forgot...personaly I'm a fan of Swamp Rat and prefer much more my Bandicoot than any other 4" blades...:D But that's only my opinion...

Emile I have to agree with you in your new found love of the scandi grind for bushcraft. I've been carrying a knife for five years now that I had made on roughly the same design as Ray Mears Woodlore knife and that design works a treat. I'm a great beliver in not re-inventing the wheel.

You mean something like this ?
