Would you sell a Busse to Fund an M&P15-22?

Smith and Wesson has just released their version of a .22LR rifle on an AR platform. The reviews are excellent, and at a price of $500 and below, it is well within reach. Buying Busse knives has definitely forced me to change the range of what I consider "cheap". I hate looking at my little INFI children thinking "Which one of you dont I need" :(

I've never been a fan of selling something I already own. I'd rather take the hit and just save up. I'm thinking there's a few who's time is limited...

If it were me? Right now yes....I have kinda switched gears and I am in a gun buying phase. I ALSO want that Exact gun. Alot cheaper to shoot than my Bushy or Armalite. I think it would be a great gun to plink with. I need to get my hands on one before I buy it but it looks pretty cool.

We all go through phases. I definatley wouldnt get rid of anything you'll miss later though. No Regrets....remember:thumbup:

Personally, no, but what ever floats your boat. :) Once you set it up exactly like your SHTF rifle, you'll have probably spent enough to buy a lot of 5.56 practice ammo. If you keep your rifles KISS, then it may be ok. Also keep in mind that for that relatively small amount of change, you might as well forgo the Bushwacker and keep your current collection intact.

I, too, have been thinking about letting go of a couple or three INFI blades to lessen the impact of a recent firearms purchase or to fund the optics for said firearm. I should just man up and keep them regardless.

If it is something you want and will use, then definitely yes. I have been wavering back and forth on buying guns vs. Busses for the past while. Some days I am in the "gun" mode, others I am in the Busse mode.

There are some Busses I hope I never have to sell, and the same for some of my guns, but there are others that I am not as attached to. So as long as it is one of the latter, then I would sell it for something else.

Luckily I'm the type of guy that may WANT lots of stuff for my rifles, but never get around to buying them. My Stag 2T has remained stock since I got it. Thats an interesting idea about the Bushwacker. I am pretty happy with my current collection. No holes in any one size or use...

Right, then part of me says "why sell something I previously wanted" Why not just keep them and buy the rifle out-right?

I feel like I just went through a Busse/knife phase. I own every busse I currently want. If I based it on use, I might have to give up some Busse's. I dont actually use an $800 sword every day. On the other hand, I'd use a .22 AR a lot!

Its just too bad I'd have to get a stupid Jersey compliant model. No banana mags for me :(

Not for a S&W, but maybe for a Colt

If you do not like the knife, that is one thing, then do it, otherwise, you will find a way to keep both

I wouldn't. I already have a Bushmaster AR so I found a 22 conversion for it. 1 rifle, 2 calibers :) More money for Busse knives :D

Well I wont get into arguing one or the other, but Colt failed attempting to make a .22 that functions like an AR. No bolt hold open on last shot, no bolt release... no mag release... Not to mention, its made by walther. No thanks :thumbdn:

Just get a H&K MP5.
:D

I live in the People's Repulik of New Jersistan... I can't own one of those. :D I'm not even allowed to have a collapsible stock... cause then my 2 year old might be able to commit some terrorist activity or something... I can own 30, 10 round magazines, but I cant own 10, 30 round magazines... cause then I might be able to shoot 30 of something.

...I can even own a semi auto rifle with a pistol grip!!!! But not a semi auto shotgun with a pistol grip. THAT!!! would be dangerous. :D

You can have it shipped here to PA. I'll keep it for you, and make sure it is well used :-)

Actually I did just that, except I picked up a Colt M4 in .22 cal. My shooting had gone down considerably with the ammo cost in scarcity. I was in a local gun store and came upon this beautiful colt M4, and low and behold it was a .22 with a 30rd mag. sold a FSH and bought it for $500, now, I'm shooting off my back deck at multiple targets out to about 60 yards.... ALMOST DAILY! it's great! If your into keeping your skills honed with the AR system, forget buying a conversion kit which just leads up your barrel and screws up your gas system. get the actual .22 with over 1,500 rds through already and now malfunctions and getting good groups with iron sites, it was well worth the $$.
Now I"m just trying to find a conversion slide for my Glock. I think knives will be around much longer than our right to keep a semi auto. Get the weapon you need then worry about blades "as long as you at least have 1 busse to carry :-)"

Yeah, I agree. Its just tough to decide which one. Each one fits a purpose, and was a calculated purchase. I guess I dont need two DFs and two Vex's...

I don't know about everyone else but I usually regret getting rid of something I really like . So for me don't sell unless your not crazy about it , but it's a Busse how could you not be crazy about it .

I bought the Colt M4 about a month ago . I had considered a .22 upper .
So I could put my can on it . When I saw the Colt I bought it . I've had some issues with it , but I'm happy with the gun .
