Would you welcome a bigger boys knife?

As other have mentioned a "daddy" Barlow would be great. For me a larger boys knife would also fit the bill.

I think the size is fine now. An identical knife at 3 7/8 may or may not be something I would buy.

I don't think I would like a larger boys knife. The size it is now is a nice bridge beween the small jackknives like the peanut and mini copperhead, and the bigger trappers and folding hunters. The present boys knife rides in a pants pocket with hardly any notice. One of my requirements for a pocket knife. To be unnoticed until needed.

Sal Glesser made the point that the same design won't necessarily work in different sizes, either technically or aesthetically. I think the boy's knife's appeal is in its neat compact size, a bigger one wouldn't work so well, with its simple bare bones design, which looks so neat in the small size would look crude or boring in the larger size.

They could call it a "man's knife"

I still haven't decided whether this earns you this:

:D

I'd leave the #15 alone-- I like it as-is, and I've heard similar sentiments as this from other makers as well:

On the other hand, I'd be all over this:
I'd love to see a barehead jack on the #79 pattern.

No thank you,I find 3.5" to be perfect for bottom of the pocket carry & I don't carry anything longer unless it has a...

pocket clip.

To be honest I like the 15 just as it is. What I'd like is a slightly longer knife, say in the 3 5/8" to 3 3/4" range that is also a 2-blade jack style, perhaps with a serpentine frame. Probably what I'm looking for is a Eureka Jack with a clip rather than spear main.

Hmm, I think the S&M Heritage jack looks pretty good.... Perhaps I just need one of those!

I'm not asking if you want GEC to make a bigger boys knife and stop making the current. Just asking if you'd like a bigger knife with similar shape and all.

A knife like the S&M Heritage jack made by GEC would be nice, in my opinion.

What I'd like to see is a 3 3/4" Swell Center (coke bottle) pattern. Basically a Pemberton on steroids.
