1) Ontario offered the Rat 1 (or 2 for that matter) in D2 or even 154CM? They've got such a loyal following, they'd sell like mad!

2) Benchmade allowed you to purchase the various colored Griptillian grips like they offer on their "Customize a knife" page?

3) Spyderco made an Endura with a thicker blade (like 4mm) and anodized aluminum scales or titanium of various colors?

4) Buck knives kicked it up a notch and made a modern 110? I love my 110's and I know you can customize them but, I'm thinking sandblasted or blackwashed titanium bolsters, CF grip inlay and D2 steel.

Buck did make a titanium slabbed 110 called the 560. I wish they still did.

I am just wondering - why would you want Endura with a thicker blade? Apart from the fact that most pocket knife have thick blades (at least the 'tactical' ones). Doing that would imply harder use that would imply that the knife would need more than FRN scales support that stronger blade and so on ...

IMO the Endura is thick enough

Though I wouldn't mind a 4mm Delica. Wouldn't be as useful probably but...I like thick small knives. :o

Yes. I'd buy a Rat 1 with better blade steel and G10 scales .

ETA: As long as it wasn't AO.

Even better, an Esee 1(or 2) instead of the inferior Ontario offerings. I'd like to see it in CPM 3V myself and I'll stick with the micarta as it is much less slippery and lighter weight.

That could be a good marketing angle. They could call it the ESEE Super Rat 1. Micarta could be an option, I'd be happy with s30v.
