Wouldn't It Be Loverly . . . Carbon Fiber Pocket Clip ?

I tried one of those CF clips shown above. Found it just didn't have enough tension for my liking, a bit too flexible.
Exactly what I was thinking from looking at it . . . very adaptable.
Might work well for me.
My Tasman Salt has a thin highly adaptable clip on it; I think it is Ti (it's not magnetic). It works great for me and look at this range ! The clip did not relax any after prying it that far. it just went right back to where it had been.

The two carbon fiber clips I have had both cracked (split) at one of the screw holes
That's good to know.
Thank you.
Hmmmmm washers under it to space it out (maybe) and washers on the out side of the clip to spread out the stress around the holes.

if you have to drill your own holes there is a concern re the dust. The dust is a hazardous material.
I have to cut carbon fiber occasionally in my day job. I do wear a respirator when I think it is smart. I also find keeping the work and the tool wet with water keeps the dust from becoming air born until I can wipe everything up with a wet cloth and dispose of it.

I don't know enough about CF to know what kind of weave or molding/shaping process would be best for application in a clip, but I do know that it can be molded in such a way so as to provide enough flex that it should work as a molded clip.

What we need is a knife maker working in the world of high end racing or the aerospace industry to maximize CF's potential in a pocket clip....any F1, Koenigsegg, or Airbus employees hanging around here on bladeforums by chance?

You could email Horacio Pagani? I'm sure he'll make you a really pretty one off clip for a few thousand dollars :D (And later make 100 more variations of the same clip as special editions...o_O)

jajaja, yea I suppose I could do that. Sometimes I forget Mr. Pagani and myself exchanged personal contact info while chatting over some yerba mate together last time I travelled to Italy by llama ;-)
