I just happened to notice that I joined BF in March '99, doesn't seem like I've been around here that long. I've been a member of a few other knife forums too, but I have always liked it here the best. Especially here in W&SS. The great mods and of course all the great members make this place rock. It's my imaginary home in the woods when I'm bored at work :D Anyway, just wanted to thank all you guys that make this place as cool as it is :thumbup:
 
Yes, easy to gravitate towards a place with friendly like minded people! Hope you can stick around for another 10years TK!

Thanks guys. The time certainly does fly by. I can't even begin to count all the knives I've bought sold and traded over the years because of this site too :) It's a very bad influence, yet I keep coming back for more!
 
Congrats on ten, man! Heck, I'm pretty amazed that it's been 4 for me. You've always been a steadfast wss member and I've always enjoyed your posts a lot. :thumbup:

Congrats on 10 years. Anybody know when BF started?

Just checked and I joined on 29 March 1999. Time flies.
 
The actual BF started in '98, which is when I actually started lurking around. It grew out of rec.knives I think, which I have seen old posts from but I wasn't a part of it. I still have my BF t-shirt which shows something like 1400 members!
 
BF first started in late september (domain registered)/early October of 1998 (first members). Many of the original members came from rec.knives, recknives.com and knifeforums.com. I joined in October of 1998 - there have been many changes over the years, but it's still one of the site I visit often - it's become more of a favorite in the past couple of years.
