Ok it is about soon time to give a 1000 posts give away!!! I never thought that I would post so much- but never planned on breaking my legs and having this much time on a computer either.
First, here is what is up for grabs:

A brand new Queen Trapper in D2 with Black Cherry jigged bone!! Thats right boys and girls, for the low price of .......well, doing what I say actually;), you can be the proud owner of this knife that I got into my clean (not grubby now) hands just minutes ago. Courtesy of Knivesshipfree, as I did not care for the Sheep Horn Canittler, so I exchanged it for the bone handle canittler and this. I got it knowing full well that it was probably not my cup of tea but that I would need a 1000 post knife. Lucky you guys!!

It will remain unused, but as such has the classic Queen edge!! Near the choil will slice but the tips are dull (OK not unused but only sliced paper once per blade).

I know how I will choose the winner but I'm not telling!!!!

Ok, I'll play.

1. Black
2. Cut my leg open when I was a kid. Took 86 stitches to close it.
3. I take my son fishing-- a lot. Which I think is nice. If that's not good enough, I once climbed into an overturned car to retrieve some books for the student who had rolled it but who was too shook up to do it.
4. I'm a (professional) photographer... pictures are easy.

Good luck with your rehab. One of my best friends broke both of his legs the first time he ever went skiing. Needless to say, he never went again and I've heard a few tales about it.

I love a deep black, so deep ya can't see the bottom, like in a water filled quarry on a cold overcast winter's day.

2) I am injured so you must tell me what your worst injury was.

I've had way too many to pick one, let's see 5,000 gal. of diluted acetic acid dumped on me, overcome by anhydrous ammonia gas from a leaking ammonia compressor, broke both ankles, screwdriver through the hand, way more stitches than I care to remember, sawed my pointer finger in half on a band saw,(always use a push stick), broke every finger in my right hand and fractured every knuckle, on the lighter side blew my knee out jumpin' across a creek and had to have a total knee replacement, if ya need more just say so;).

3) Tell me what the nicest thing you have done for another person has been

Rather than tell ya the nicest thing I've ever done, let's just say I'll withdraw from the contest because what I did was for them 'cause I wanted to not for noteriety.

1. Favorite Color: Blue(hate blue handles on knives) Favorite knife handle color: antique green bone
2. Broke my hip in three places playing school football. Didn't tell my folks about it for three weeks(I know.....I'm an idiot!). Finally had surgery because my mom noticed I couldn't walk without a serious limp. Spent nearly one year in a wheelchair and on crutches during rehab.
3. Nicest thing: Let my mother-in-law move in with us for two years expense free while she was saving money to buy a house. Remodeled most of her house in my off time after she moved in. She's responsible for my knife addiction, so I guess it was worth it.
4. All of my knives are users, so a picture of some cutting action is no problem.
 
OK, I think I got this..

1) Indian Summer Sky Blue
2) Duel level spinal injury, C-5-6 and C-6-7 herniated discs and surgery with cadaver bone in place of soft tissue.
3) Helped to save a life(tried to save 2 but 1 died at the hospital) on I-75 in Jeep roll over accident in Gainesville, Florida in 1979.
4) No problem with the photo, as I don't cotton to negative Mo-Jo.

OK- for all else- If you are too modest to say your best deed- then give a damn good one and I'll accept that (just want to put the good out there people)!!!

Completely tore my ACL and had full reconstructive surgery on it

I gave my old car for an elderly couple next door because they could'n't afford to buy one on their measley pension check. They had lots of medical appointments and it was a blessing to them.

Alright, I had been at work when a contractor fell off a scaffold, turned out he had an aneurysm, havein' been an EMT at a previous job, after checkin' the area, and his vitals I realized he needed CPR, I did CPR for 30 minutes,

This was the day before Thanksgiving weekend, that following monday the contractors wife came up to me at work and thanked me for what I did, because the area we were in was a hazardous chemical ara and no one would've gone to this guys aid for fear of being overcome by fumes but by doin' CPR he was kept alive long enough for the ambulance to get him to the hospital.

I asked the woman how he was doin' and she said he died sunday but because of me his whole family was able to be by his side when he passed.

After this the woman gave me a hug and a kiss and said thank you.
 
1) Dark Navy Metallic Blue - sorta.
2) Hairline fractured shinbone - with some splinters for extra fun. Same incident also landed me with a couple dislocated fingers and quite a few pieces of glass in me.
3) I helped an old lady to survive a seizure of some sort while I was a lifeguard. That was probably the scariest thing I've ever done.
Not sure if it's nice either, I just kept her warm and hoped she wouldn't bite her tongue.
4) Sounds fair to me.

Green...Olive Drab actually, this is based on a quick count of all my t-shirts.

Blew out left knee, ACL, MCL, Tore the Patella tendon, shredded all the meniscus. My family says the heard it "Pop" up in the stands when it happened.

Helped put out a wildland fire that was threatening a family dwelling.

Always giving to neighbors. I have given the neighborhood over 30 computers and many baskets of food and clothes.
I have a great camera that takes wonderful pictures
 
yellow (like my yellow jeep)

ran over my own foot on a 4 wheeler and broke it.

most recent kind act, I sell Peterbilts and had a customer whose truck sat on my yard for 3 months without generating revenue. I had a cash buyer who I Knew would buy that truck giving the opportunity. I put them in contact directly with each other taking myself out of the equation and not selling my inventory because I know the seller was in a bind due to the economy and fuel prices. He is a good guy and was trying to scale back to one truck so he can get by. I gave up a sale/commission to help the guy.

I will send a picture of me cutting open my last check if my boss reads this.

Okay. I didn't feel like I qualified but I'll toss my hat in anyway.

1 - Favorite color is Red. Not kissing up. Just being honest. It's red.

2 - Believe it or not, my worst is a broken hand and finger from a mountain bike spill. 38 years and no major injuries. I'll consider myself lucky.

3 - I had to use the First Aid/CPR training that I train annually for. I'm also a member of the Knights of Columbus so a lot of my time goes to charitable functions that help mentally disabled children.

If I have to blow my own horn, I hosted a fund raiser for an infant that has brittle bone disease. To keep it from getting personal, I did it on a day that most would not think of others. e-mail me if you want details. Rupestris@gmail.com

3) Rebuilt a deck for a single older woman with no means of her own and rebuilt
her rotted out bathroom floor. At no expense to her.

My picture skills suck, but blurry will do.

Broke my collarbone once. Bad disk in my back, but that's cumulative... Kidney stones? Not an injury, but the worst actual pain of my life!

I pick up hitchhikers who are hauling gas cans, change little old ladies tires on the side of the road, teach my kids how to be responsible, tickle them and play with them, love my wife... I am an angel. :D

Pictures will likely be followed by passing this knife on to my mum. She likes trappers a lot, especially pretty ones like this. I'll sharpen it for her first, though. Which would make me a saint, considering how tough it is to put an edge on Queen D2. :D

Ok Ok already...

- Various shades of green (and yellow Case folders) have become my favorites as of late.

-Jumped onto a board and pushed a good size nail through my foot (the "worst" because it happened at a pre-WWII gold mine in Ontario, Canada three days paddle and a few portages from a town).

- I gave someone a job (more than once) when no one else seemed willing to do so.

- A photo seems only fair!
