1) I am giving away my favorite color (red), so you must give me yours!!
Judging by the way I tend to dress, either black or denim blue.

2) I am injured so you must tell me what your worst injury was.
Aw, geez, this is embarrassing. Um, fracture of the femur, fracture of the ulna, 9 broken ribs, punctured lung, fracture of the orbit, fractured skull, chipped tooth and a bloody nose.
Let's just say it was a long day.

3) Tell me what the nicest thing you have done for another person has been.
Not sure its the nicest thing, but I'm working on a teaching degree.

4) You must post a picture of this knife cutting something after you get it or the bad MOJO will follow you around!!
Since you didn't rule out blurry pictures, that shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the interesting questions!

1. Ultramarine, 'cuz it's the coolest sounding color.
2. Most severe injury I got was when I plummeted off a cliff, landed on my head, then having the 4-wheeler immediately behind me land ON my head. Never went to the hospital for it, so I don't know if there was any brain damage or not. Though nowadays I kinda assume so. ;)
3. Helped a friend move into the sixth floor of an apartment building for no good g******ed reason. He owned a piano, too. :grumpy:
4. Will do! Thanks for the contest!

1. Black
2. Had two bones in left hand rebuilt, two steel pins. Had 80 stiches in the head after a swimming pool accident.
3.Gave support when my best friends wife abandoned him and their two kids.

1- Alox Silver
2- Dislocating my thumb and wrist needed to have surgery to reset. In recovery while still under anesthetic, lifted my plaster cast hand and smashed my nose fracturing it in two places, to this day still have the ridge on my nose from one of the fracture points. Looking back I might have others that were worse but to this day I can still look back at this injury and say to myself and feel free to repeat after me, "What a Putz!"
3- Setting a buddy up with job after he had been laid off.
4- Don't need to incur the bad karma – will post as rules are rules.

Thanks for the game and the chance.

Wow, thanks for the opportunity!

1) I lean toward blue, but I really like them all.
2) When I was a kid, I had a big wheel. I also had a Grandmother who's walkway from her driveway to her porch was all downhill. So, I got on my Big Wheel, and headed down the the hill. Oh...about halfway down, I realized that I was going way too fast and that the concrete porch steps were getting too close. I pulled up on the handbrake. Didn't do anything. So, I quickly jammed my feet onto the sidewalk hoping to slow down. Instead, both of my feet got sucked under the wheels on either side, and I went down the remainder of the hill on my kneecaps. When I stood up, and looked at my legs, you could actually see the patellas and grooves cut into them. Grandma's response? "Well, we'll put some Mathilade on it." <<That's this nasty burning red stuff that came before peroxide. (follow up is that both knees got really gushy looking and then skin formed over them. all good.)
-Told somebody how to become a Christian. I've also helped a lot of strangers push cars, shovel snow, given money, etc.
-how about color, black and white, and sepia?

I'll play. :)

1) Electric blue
2) Gave myself Gamekeeper's Thumb coming off my motorbike. Had a cracked thumb bone as well. I think that's about the worst, & I've obviously been pretty lucky compared to some here. ;)
3) I didn't kill my ex-boss. And no, no-one else has either, he's still alive as far as I know.
4) OK, but I take poor photos! :D

Count me in, too! Thanks for the chance!

Favorite color... Red.
Worst injury... Broke my right ankle (whichever bone is the smaller one on the outside) skateboarding on a half-pipe. Yes, I was too old to be pulling that kind of stunt anymore... ;)
Nicest deed (or at least a good one)... Donated my tent to a young dad & his two small kids while on a camping trip, since theirs had been trashed in the previous windy night. I told them I was packing it in anyway, but used it as an excuse to sleep under the stars. :D
Pics... I already know what I'd cut with it first!

Favorite Color
Black for sure.
Worst injury?
Wow I've had a lot.
Well, when I broke my hand punching someone, set my pants on fire, set my room on fire which then sent my shirt on fire, stepped in a shoe that was on fire( I didn't know!) had a firecracker blow up in my hand, had a fire cracker blow up in my face. Some kid sliced my leg wide open with a knife when I was 11 or 12. Lets go with, all of the above!
Nicest thing?
I used to help the kids my disabled aunt babysat with their homework, EVERY SINGLE DAY!
Pics?
That seems o.k.!

1. That would be green.

2. In the summer I fell of a roof and broke my ankle, got a plate and six screws in it now.

3. Hmm, I guess I dont have one specific nice thing. I help push the neighbour's car out of the ditch, I give my Grandma a ride at night when she doesnt like to drive, I shoveled out my two great aunts when we got a foot of snow yesterday. Nothing really spectacular, but I have a lot of life left to live, I'm sure I'll have a good one in 60 years!

4. Pics are my speciallity. Well not really, but I like to see 'em, so I'll post em.

Favorite color is blue.

Worst injury - broken nose playing football in the street (acutally hurt worse when they re-set the bone).

Nicest thing(s) I have done - let my best friend AND sister in law stay with me during some hard times they had (not at the same time). Oh and I didn't kill people that really deserved it......

Pix - no problem.

My favorite color is blue-gray. Imagine crossing cobalt blue with steel gray; "a stormy day at the sea", I call it.

Worst accident? I've had two. The first was a brain injury that put me into a coma for several days. I spent the next several months learning to walk and talk again. Four years later, almost to the day  while taking a land navigation field final, my leg and foot were completely crushed by a boulder that broke out from under me as I stepped off a small cliff. I watched my leg fold in half in the middle of the shin. I heard my leg and foot go CRUNCH! CRUNCH! I felt the tibia and fibula shatter into shards. Fortunately for me, the course was taught by retired Air Force PJ's (pararescuemen) who had a combined 100+ years of experience. The surgeon later remarked that the exceptional traction pulled on my leg is what saved my leg from being amputated. I've had 3 surgeries for that leg, 2 being complete reconstructions. The last one, from which I'm still recovering, involved cutting the lower leg in half, rotating the mis-aligned foot around, straightening the bent tibia, and plating it all back together. Well, the surgical team did that, not me :foot:

Cuts Like A Kris, I know how it is to have LOTS of free time on your hands :o After the leg crushing, I was under doctor's orders to spend 20+ hours in bed each day for eight months straight! I surfed more web sites, read more books, watched more tv and movies than I'd done in my entire life to that point. It was intense. It wasn't wholly wasted time, though. Well, my leg basically healed, for one thing!

Nicest thing I've done? Hmmm, how about a knife-content thing: when I was 7, I was walking in the local park with my 5-year-old sister and her 6-year-old friend. A bully kid walked up to us and, without warning, pulled a knife on us! He flashed it around and waved it in our faces. Yeah, that kid was perhaps 8... wonder what sort of life he's ended up living!  Well, I stepped between the knife-wielding kid and my sister and her friend, telling them to run home, get mom, and have her call the police. That knife was uncomfortably close to my face for a second or two! After they'd run off safely, I watched the other kid for a second, took a step back, then ran off, following the girls. Ah well, had the Bourne movies been made, perhaps I'd have known to disarm the kid and thwomp him with a toy truck or something for good measure ;)

As for pics, I can send you a pic of a small sheep'sfoot blade knife that I made about 1.5 years ago. One of the things I started to do when first recovering from the crushed leg was read up on making knives

Oops, edit to say that I mis-read the directions. I'll post a pic of me using the knife, should I win it. I can still post the pic of the home-made knife, also, if others want it.

Lots of injuries on this thread... what do they say about birds, feathers, and flocking? Cuts Like A Kris, how did you break both of your legs?

Trout- My fiancee took me skydiving for the first time as a 2 month early 30th birthday present surprise and Murphy does not like me!!!

ok....I would like to join in as well...

1) I am giving away my favorite color (red), so you must give me yours!!
My favorite is red bone like Case has used, a very vibrant color of red.

2) I am injured so you must tell me what your worst injury was.
I was injured while serving in the Military, I herniated several lumbar discs, have had two surgeries on my back, now degenerative disc disease has led to the collapse of 3 more disc...just slowly going up the spine. I think that ties with the time I hit a deer while on a motorcycle, I still have a permanent class C separation of my right shoulder from that.

3) Tell me what the nicest thing you have done for another person has been.
Many years ago my Dad was forcibly retired from a company that underwent a bit of a takeover, being between jobs as it were he sold his Ramcharger and bought a K-Car. I knew he liked having a 4X4 much better so I bought him a IH Scout as a replacement. Don't know if that was the nicest thing I have ever done or not but it is probably the happiest I have made a person.

4) You must post a picture of this knife cutting something after you get it or the bad MOJO will follow you around!!
It will accompany me to a celebratory dinner in it's honor and will replace the joke steak knife they give you and will cut my sirloin in supreme style! A picture will be taken to commemorate the moment.

1) I am giving away my favorite color (red), so you must give me yours!!
OD Green
2) I am injured so you must tell me what your worst injury was..
When I was younger, I stupidly attmpted to climb a nearly verticle formation of rocks along a stream bank. The rocks were wet to begin with, and I slipped cutingt up both my forearms very nicely- it healed up just fine- thanks be.
3) Tell me what the nicest thing you have done for another person has been.
Following a hit and run vehicle to get vehicle and tag info for a victim I didn't know- I wittnessed a pretty nasty hit and run in a lot, and felt like it was my responsibility to ID the driver and vehicle- which I ended up doing. The victim, who came to her vehicle a little bit later, was very glad that I had the info so the police could hold the guy responsible.
4) You must post a picture of this knife cutting something after you get it or the bad MOJO will follow you around!!
Gimme the knife and I'll do it.

1) I am giving away my favorite color (red), so you must give me yours!!
British racing green (reminds me of my '64 Sunbeam Alpine I had years ago)

2) I am injured so you must tell me what your worst injury was..
I could tell you about filleting the top of my left index finger while carving a walking stick, or cracking a neck vertebra in second grade falling off a jungle gym, but my worst injury was lifting a piece of lab equipment (using proper technique) that was just too heavy resulting in a fractured lower disc, a year of physical therapy, and finally a spinal fusion. This back injury all occurred within a year of getting married and during the final stages of finishing my doctorate.

3) Tell me what the nicest thing you have done for another person has been.
Hmm, i guess it would be directing (ordering) eight coworkers to take appropriate cover as an F4 tornado approached our workplace in Beltsville, Md two weeks after 9-11. Growing up in Kansas I had seen my share of tornado damage while my coworkers had no idea what a twister could do nor what they should do if faced with one. We made it to an inner room of the basement of our building with a few seconds to spare before the vacuum hit, windows blew and the slate roof was taken. We were lucky while two students a mile away were not.

4) You must post a picture of this knife cutting something after you get it or the bad MOJO will follow you around!!
Not a problem!

Thanks to all who entered!!
Huh, nice sentiment, wrong outcome, eh? Rotten :o I hope you heal up well, CutsLikeaKris  If you're going bonkers from lack of physical activity, get yourself a set of exercise bands. Get the good ones with handles and 4 or 5 bands for sufficient resistance; round here, Big 5 has a good set made by Altus (they call it a "chest expander"). I go nuts if I can't do anything physical for long periods of time. The cables were a God-send for me.
