Wow, Buck of the month for Oct is a good looking knife.

I really like the blade on this one. Has Buck ever done a long pull like this one before? The drawn swedge looks very classy. The swedge makes the drop point blade look more like a clip point blade. I do agree with others that it would look better with handle pins.

They are about 1/3rd lighter and way less bulky in the pocket. I was so happy to see Buck make some like this with carbon fiber and other material scales, I have several of the new ones from Buck with these materials and S30V blade steel. Love them.
 
I've already decided to gift mine to my wife for Christmas, if it's as nice looking as yours when she sees it she would have wanted to trade for something from her pile of knives, she likes pretty wood handles. win win in my book...
