I've seen that video before. No more dangerous than any other power hammer, and probably safer than, say, a punch press. Nice and slow with a steady rhythm.

With it being a gravity drop without power behind it, it's not hitting overly hard for the size. I'm curious what the ram weight on it is.

The home-brewed guided helve power hammer I use is about three steps up in complexity. This one is as simple as a power hammer can be.
