Wow that was quick

All I can say is that as long as I am in control of making them, they will be on time, (baring parts outages that I am taking care of right now).
One we get all that in order we will look for other oportunities and
hopefully that means adding more models and I am sure the Gen 5 will be an add.

I fixed that for you Joe ;)

Thanks for all your help!

I sure hopre its added too WH4F!Man wouldn't a gen 5 bg-42 sambar stag be somethin to drool over at deer camp!LOL

I will be buying a custom 110 soon but man would i love to have a custom shop 112!
:)
What configuration were you thinking for a 110, and would you configure a 112 the same or would there be other selections?

I dont remember saying anything about a Gen 5? Man am I getting old and decrepid! :)
So I guess we will add the Gen 5......just as soon as we add the 112. Ha!

I think a custom shop 112 would be a huge success, I would buy two right off te bat
if you dont tell my wife.

I probably wouldn't buy a 112, but I still wouldn't even tell my wife that I looked at them!

Thats kind of what I figured Joe... I guess it was worth a shot! :D

So am I more likely to get struck by lightning twice? OR see a custom shop Gen 5? :D (LOL)

If you decide on a custom 110,I have to put my 2 cents in and say choose a bg-42 blade. You will absolutely love it ,there isn't much out there that can touch the bg-42 from Buck, imho!good luck.

I've mentioned it in another thread but the Custom shop is changing. There is still some discussion as to who will end up with the responsibility of making them here at Buck but during the interim, they will be made in my shop. :D

Personally, I have never been a big fan of the 4 week lead time so baring parts outages, I am shooting for something a lot closer to half that.
I have my rework man, Danny P. doing most of them and he brings over 30 years experience to the table. That and a keen eye for quality.

I just wanted to add to what Joe has said here - Danny P. is a fantastic knifemaker - you should feeel lucky that he's building out so many of the custom orders because he's such a great craftsman. He does fantastic work and is one of the nicest most humble people you could meet. He'd probably be embarrassed if he read this.

He can also put a SCARY sharp edge on a knife - watch out when you get those customs 'cuz they will scare the hair off your arm....

The BG-42, Elk Horn I just received is gorgeous. It took 7 weeks from ordering to receiving, but it had engraving which probably adds some time.
I hope the BG-42, Oak, that I ordered on Feb 28, gets here sooner. The Buck Custom 110's are great knives and a great value.

Bigfish,
I think that is the unwritten rule around here...no one alerts anyone else's spouse as to their spending habits. This system only works because we are pretty much all on the same hook! :D
