If the butterfly wasn't on the blade, I'd probably pass that off as United Cutlery fantasy junk.

Same here. I am not too crazy about the design, seems like it is trying too hard with the skull and bones theme.

Now the 707 is looking mighty fine though...

And I'm not, myself, really keen on a skull and bone menuki thing. I think it really cheapens the image of the knife. It sort of does give it a "United Cutlery" feel, don't you think?

You guys are right. It looks just like this knife:

It even has the skull on the handle.

$6 at smoky mountain knife works. :D

Thanks Guys,

I really appreciate the comments.
The quality of the Benchmade knife is outstanding.
The ones I saw a couple of weeks ago at SHOT were incredible.
This is a new design I am very excited about.

Ignignokt, the reason the knife you referenced looks like one of my designs is because the manufacturers of that knife are thieves. That is my Overlord design, it was well established and easily recognizable by year end 2001.
They stole my design and now they are producing an inferior product using the poorest materials available. It is just another knock-off! They are not able to reproduce my menuki at their price point and that is reflected in the photographs. I say "my menuki" because I have them custom made.

I am glad this knock-off was posted. People can quickly become confused as to the true origins of original designs and IP. It is really a kick in the teeth to have an original design stolen but at least forums such as this afford a venue to expose these thieves and their inferior products.

Thanks again,
