This one definitely harkens back to the old days, lol! Couldn't pass it up!

Unfortunately, UPS mishandled the package and damaged the tip of mine slightly. Knife poked through the box and hit something hard (likely concrete) at some point during the journey. 🤬

I hate when that happens. I had one of the "Embrace The Suck" blades do the same.

Yeah, it sucks. I've had it happen a few times. Hurts a little worse on a LE blade.

Trying to decide what to do, I don't really know if I want to take the chance of sending back to the mothership. I could sharpen it out myself.

Those boneheads! They obviously didn’t understand it was PRECIOUS CARGO!
Sorry to hear that!
I wonder if Busse would reprofile or maybe be able to spit a little weld? of INFI on the tip & touch it up. I’d for sure ask.

Sorry to hear that, hate to see it! Based on the packaging of the Busse Kin knives I've received, I just can't see how this could happen, even if tossed from a helicopter! I certainly don't want to either. Heck, it's a pain for me to get 'em out their mummy wrap when that's my intent.

Here’s a better pic for you, lol. You can see that it’s not too bad, maybe 1/16”.

I know they’d fix it up if I sent it in, there’s zero question about that. I just need to decide if it’s worth the hassle, or if I should just repair it myself. I have the equipment and the ability.

It hit (the floor?) so hard that the scales slid inside the cardboard sheath and the (formerly) sharp tip cut right through the tape, the paper cocoon, the padding paper, and ultimately through the side of the box. 😩 Unfortunately, it does happen. Luckily this one wasn’t still sticking out the side of the box like one other one I had delivered in the past!

HEARTBREAKER!!! 💔 To make it right it will have to be reprofiled / recrowned all the way back to the first sawtooth. Tough call, but I'd send it back to Wauseon because that's a pretty involved reprofile, imho.

If it were mine-- that's what I'd do, because my gorilla-like grinder skills would turn the LE into a SE = Sh**ty Edition.
