Wrap or scales?

I think the scales make the knife.

I tried cord wrapping it for a few weeks, but I just don't like the way a cord wrapped handle feels, and OD green paracord is just plain ugly. There's plenty of cord in my pack, so a little more on the handle of a very small knife just won't make a difference.

The Izula naked is ok, but not as comfortable, and cord wrapping didn't add enough bulk to be comfortable. With the scales, it fits my hand perfectly and feels very secure.

I loved the Izula before, but with the scales, it became one of my very favorite knives (and I just got the scales Friday).
 
I think I want to try the scales.
Aknife- My offer stands for anyone who tells me an your opinion on cord or slabs.
 
Why have just 1? ;-)

You can also wrap the Izula with leather, too... won't get funky like 550 cord.
 
I just got the Izula, I put a cord wrap on and find it acceptable, I like to keep the profile thin. The cord gives it just enough grip to help in retention. Plus, I like the custom looks you can achieve with cord.

That's a nice tritium bead on the end there. Do you know where I could pick one up at?
I have some cord on order to wrap it until I get a chance to try some scales.
 
I got this one off Ebay. I don't remember who the seller was but a simple search should give you the results you are looking for.
 
One with scales and one wrapped. Depending what I'm doing I can either run scales or paracord. If I'm gonna get it wet etc. I will run the scales. It was too hard to decide which way to go so I had to buy two. It's hard being an ESEE customer. So many knives so little $.
PS How do I get this shipping included $15 kydex?

Has anyone tried Plasti-Dip or heat shrink tubing on an Izula? I've been kicking the idea around for a few weeks and think I might actually give it a shot.
 
Plasti-Dip seem like a good idea.
If you change your mind you could always cord wrap over it.
 
For me, the Izula handle scales make the knife more comfortable to use & hold onto than the paracord wrap.
 
GLOCK,I really like your wrap!My Izula is the only wrapped handled knife I own,plus I carry it in the right front pocket of my jeans.Would'nt the scales print more?I would assume so,think I'll just stick with the wrapped handle.
