Well, Eric has informed me, and posted elsewhere, that all knives have been shipped including those not in continental U.S.A. (except mine:grumpy:))
If you don't receive yours in a week to 10 days (except you folks overseas) please let me know!
Most reports back to me are; the knives are very good to perfect! Queen has handled a couple of complaints, mostly due to old tooling, but my reading is they've done a good run of knives.
The members of the band!!
Mikeymoto - kept a tight accounting of the financing, and smoothed out some saber-rattling from Paypal! Thanks Mike!
Ivankerely - Graphics extraordinaire! We would not have our wonderful tang stamp, nor that beautiful box, if it weren't for Gene! Great work!
EA42 - The hardest shipping man in show business! Try packing and shipping 130 fidgety little gadgets off to all parts of the globe; some with barely decipherable addresses! In your spare time! Eric is the man! Belated thanks to Eric's mate also!! Behind every great man, there's a woman keeping him on track!;)
Waynorth - All I had to do was talk on the phone, and shoot my mouth off on the forums here! I had all the fun!!
Aww, give us a big hand anyways!! Yeaaaa!

So!! Please use this thread to brag about your new Forum knife! Post pics so I can see them!! (I don't have one:( - -yet:))
Even give us some constructive criticism if you've got it!
Unlike last year, Queen has a few extra parts, so go to them first if you have a complaint. If you're not happy with them, contact me! The Buck (errrr. . . Queen) stops here!!;)
Thanks for your participation, and don't miss the 2011 knife! It's sure to be a great one!!

initial reactions were, Wow! it's a big damn heavy slip joint! F&F was excellent, Stout walk and talk, satisfactory sharp, classy looking knife then dread set in...
I have to gift this away:eek: What was i thinking ordering just one (bills, etc. of course). I quickly put it away till christmas day then it was off to its new home. My dad loved it and seemed genuinely touched, and with a stern warning from me to not send it through the wash like his yeller peanut the deed was done! Only regret, not buying another but C'est la vie...
Was a great experience working with some great guys, and couldnt be happier that it's been well received! Thanks Charlie, Mike, Eric and Eric's Wife.
cheers

Thank you all for the great work in making the 2010 knife project work and allowing us to enjoy a great knife.

Thank you for all that you did Charlie, Eric, Mike and Gene.

I hope you all take the satisfaction of getting those knives out to folks all over. It is a great payback for all the effort I know the four of you put into this project.

Well done gentleman.

Other than pics I haven't seen mine yet but I'm told that it is incredible.
You guys did a fantastic job.
By the way, I think the tang stamp really set this off. Great idea!!!

I've set my 2010 knife aside for my daughter as she was born this year. I think she'll be pleased with it when the time comes.

Hi Charlie -

Thanks to all of you for your taking time to volunteer to work on the project.

The knife turned out wonderfully, I could not have been happier with the one that I received.

We will be leaning on you folks for advice as the 2011 project progresses through the stages.

Maybe we can get the "art monkey" involved in the 2011 piece - the box graphics really add to the custom feel of the knife as a package.

Here are pictures of my Moose; I hope to take better shots sometime soon.

A great job by all involved with this project.

My knife had some very noticeable scratches on the blades and on the spine of the knife but about 20-minutes of careful work on my polishing wheel and now it is overall a nice knife. Here are the pictures of my knife.

Thanks all, for the nice comments, and the pictures!
I hope to enjoy mine in the new year!

A big THANK YOU to all 4 men!
The 2 knives I received were just great and perfect timing to get 1 under the tree. The graphics on the box & tang stamps really put this forum knife over the top. (The bars been set pretty high) The weight, ebony, shield & the rounded bolsters all speak of old time tradition to me.
Take a bow gentlemen!!

Dave

P.S. Great idea Christian, to have a "birth knife" with year stamped on it twice!

Charlie, Eric, Mike and Gene,

I too want to thank all of you on the 2010 project team for a job very well done.

I would also like to wish all of my fellow forumites a happy and healthy New Year!

Jay

and anyone else with a part of making the 2010 BFC knife a HUGE success;)!!

Thanks for all the work on a Fine piece of History in the making!!:D

I had to send mine back to Queen for a bit of adjusting. The clip blade had some play. Queen customer service is great. This knife is outstanding. Sorry for the cheesy pic.(camera issues still)
Charlie,Mike Eric and Gene, thanks again.

Very much Agreed!! Great Project, Gents!!

I received mine Christmas Evening, Evening(Eve before Eve) from a very fine fellow here that heard that I was unable to participate and commit funds for this worthy project, and then made it his goal that he would part with one of his knives, so that I should have one... To express in words how I feel about this random act of kindness towards me is futile,, since I can come up with none that meet popper muster!..

.. What I can say is, I was so very, very happy to receive, and then use(christen) this stout Gal of a Knife to shave on what is known as, 'feather stick'n' some old vintage 'fat-lighter pine' lumber that we unearthed a ways back to light a fire for the first of the Christmas season(2010) for our "super-smores" that we have for the kids in our neighborhood every year..
