Wrap Up for the 2010 Knife!

Yes. Let's all brag about this knife.

Everyone involved did a great job with this. My only regret is that I only bought one. I guess I'll learn from that mistake and get two next year.

It's one of the most beautiful knives in my collection. I still can't stop playing with it.

Thanks guys!

Mine has arrived and is in custom's... but since I don't have any receit or such from that, I consider it as gift and marked it on customs papers like that. If custom's bugs me i tell them open the package and check the receit or check the parcel for value as I don't know what there is or how much it is (of course I do but customs screwed me up badly earlier this year so I won't bloody do all their work for them). I will co-operate with my customs to the extent with my forum knife but I consider it as gift and unless they can proove otherwise they must release it or send it back to Eric. Either way, custom's ain't going to get dime from my forum knife!

Mine have arrived today:D It's quite nice to see the differences between the two, as it shows these are truly one of a kind handfinished knives. But both are solidly built and without flaws. Thx to all the guys for putting this together, they are my first forum knives but I bet they won't be my last. Now only to figure out wich one to carry;)

Mine got here just in time for the end of the year:thumbup: I had to retrieve it from customs first though...drag eh Jani? Vittu!:grumpy:

I have the 08 Forum Knife and I got a choice example on that one, and same with this year, excellent. It surprises me as it manages to combine elegance and sturdiness, no easy thing but it carries it off well. The springs and blade stock are thick stuff but the knife is in no way bulky, clumsy or tank-like. This is in part due to the Ebony which is really excellent, nice and sexy black:D and finely radiused, no sharp edges on the bolsters or liners here. Nickel silver liners enhance the pattern too as does the shield which is just right. The swedges and longpulls add real presence, those discussing nail nicks in another thread should consider the Forum Knife's, they're first rate. Spring is tough, but I like that and having no half stop makes for a smooth opening. Almost forgot, the box is really appreciated too, I suggest we continue with special boxes in the future.

Any drawbacks? Very minor gap in one place but I mean minor, the Clip blade has very slight play the Spear none. Not enough to send back that's for sure.

Finally, after an epic ramble:D Many thanks to all those in the forum who made it possible, Eric or his wife packed them up so well and to the workers at Queen Cutlery:thumbup: Let's applaud ourselves for making the right choice of knife too:D I want to send my greetings to all fellow forumites around the world and wish you the best thing for 2011 and that is to enjoy good health.

Regards, W

It's occupying pocket space right now ... what better kudos could I give?

Thank you, each and every one of you.:)
