wrapped tomahawk handle

Hey Guys...Any body ever wrap a tomahawk ahndle with linen thread ? What's the process ? Have an old one I want to try it on.

I wrap most of my hafts at the handle end with thread of some type, linen, jute, hemp etc. I usually lay a bed of good carpenters glue or after it's wrapped I dye it then coat it in glue and rub it right in. Holds up very well.
