Hi,
I have been trying to find schematics for a Wrist Blade (kind of like a Stiletto but the blade pops out of the top instead of folding out. All attatched to the wrist for hiding.) If anyone knows any websites that contain the sketche(s), plz link me the HTML!!! I dont wanna scrap this idea either :(
If You need a more general idea of what a Wrist Blade is, plz type in www.xboxgazette.com/i/pic_assassinscreed_art_16.jpg

not like the one shown, no, but in the generalized idea. I just searched google for a pic of a wrist blade and got the first one >.>

well ur like works but no point since when search for it nothign comes up....and im pretty sure that what your looking for is just for movies and games..and is not real....yes im sure some were made....but those were all custom and are now sitting in some prop house some where....i have never seen any plans for them they might be real....then again they might be trade secrets....

Amusing,
The witchblade one at least doesn't come out where the fingers should be, the other ones are pure mall ninja. No self respecting armorer will make items that when deployed are likely to maim their owners.
If you are going to make something like that, please at least allow basic self preservation instincts to rule, and make it a top otf the wrist mount, with adequate gaurding .. .. ..
nix that, consider it a prop and do not sharpen it, do not give it a strong enough spring to put an eye out, and always point it in a safe direction.

I know, I'm an old fart, spoiling your fun and all of that,
remember, it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye,
THEN IT"S A GAME OF CHASE THE EYBALL!

Emergency rooms suck don't be stupid

And of course, it will be illegal to wear in just about every state I can think of.

Yup...that's not even legal in the state of insanity....

I'd personally recommend that if you seriously plan to take up bladesmithing as an avocation that you start simply, spend some serious time reading these forums, and see if you'll stick with it.

Aside from the legal implications of a knife like this, technically it would be a very serious project indeed and is not something to be taken lightly.

I think to make it seem functional, it would need to have some sort of lock. Stilettos are meant for stabbing (when they were invented... today i discourage stabbing) I think to have some sort of latch that opens behind the blade, like a frame or liner lock (kinda).

Of course It isn't meant to be carried, like many other fantasy blades.

I get visions of the knives the Cylons have on Battlestar Gallactica. Still would not be legal anyplace that I can think of.

I'm sorry to differ with you, but illegal is illegal whether you get caught or not. Prison time is related to getting caught.

this would be a very complacated build. make a simple folding knife first and see how hard it is. make somthing usefull that you can show other people without worying about getting thrown in the slamer.

I think you can get a permit to build/own a weapon like this but unless the weapon complies with all other laws it will still be illegal. Perhaps if you made this run off compressed gas (like CO2) it would be legal. No springs and not a gravity knife. Gosh now NY will have to ban CO2 knives :jerkit:.

Like the others said this would be an EXTREAMLY complicated build if you want it to work correctly. *Cough* I bet you agree that there needs to be a 4th season of furu metaru panikku eh? Just an observation. :p
