I have used Suunto M9 and was not happy with it. Main reason is I felt it too sensitive to not being held level. I have fond memories of one night in the woods when I had stayed a little to far from the trail and had to cut back to it, all the while constantly banging on the Suunto M9 to make sure it was not binding. Worked great under good conditions, but not too good when I was tired, almost lost, and actually needed it. I am considering a Suunto SK-5 or SK-6, more reliable, but kind of huge.
