Writing a PDF or some kind of tutorial

I Want to be able to write tutorials about knife making but I don't really like writing them directly on a forum I like writing

them word document(but then its hard to share them...write?)so I was wondering how to write a document that I can post a

link to so others can read it?

MS Word, and similar programs (and depending on computer, the system) have "print to PDF" or "create PDF" options. So you would just write it out as you would any other document, add images if you wish and save that file. Then output it to a PDF using the built in tools (there are also online converters if needed).

Once that PDF is made, you would need to have your own webspace, or a file hosting service (like dropbox) you can upload it to share.
 
With a paid membership, you just attach the PDF by clicking "Manage Attachments".
 
I believe that everyone should at least get a basic membership to pay for all the free knowledge available here, but at 5 mb's of storage for a platinum membership that won't leave much room in your document for illustrations
 
While I do agree that everyone should consider a paid membership, you can also post documents/pdfs to google docs and link to them.
