wrong to close thread dan

Kendo,

I have seen the video and it protrays humanity at its most indecent level. to say that I was disgusted, angered, and frustrated, comes nowhere near capturing the full sense of the thing. But, I am here on this page to discuss our common hobby, and to share some pleasant moments with the good people who participate here. I see no need to ram these images down their throats. I respect Dan's choice; and I would also appreciate it if you could add your original links to the ongoing discussion in BF Political Forum. We are discussing the subject over there, and anyone who is interested is welcomed to join in.

Not bad, but it pales in comparison to some of your previous postings.
You should try harder, I'm starting to lose respect for you as a closet troll :(

Apparently I missed a controversial thread. This is where I stand. America love it or leave it. I "hate" my job but it is the best thing going. So I'm here to stay. My country? Sometimes I disagree with taxes, liberalism etc but its the best thing going. And I've seen a lot of places overseas. I'm here to stay and defend! If someone sympathizes with the enemy they are the enemy. You are with us or against us. To me it seems someone needs to pack their bags. When I posted earlier about censorship I was off-base & didn't know why or what thread was closed. My apology to everone. FYI I did not & will not view the video. Just knowing hurts enough. I don't need to see it. I gotta go.

try to keep the use of what most consider profanity as low as possible when arguing against someone about your past behavior. using swear words only adds emotion to a comment, that will only lead to more emotion. even if you do not, in any way, shape, or form mean to troll for heated reactions, by adding caps and swear words, you are doing the equivelent of yelling at a person. these types of replies will innevitably troll someone who reads them for more reactions (rarely good ones) wether you intend them to or not.

i read this, and saw the comment about the video causing nightmares, so i thought "well, now i have to see it.". i found it 2 links - under 25 seconds outside of this forum. had my kazaalite been open - i would have had it in under 5 seconds.

i understand your desire to get the word out about nick to people you care about, think should know, and people who may not have the chance to see the video - however, you could easily have said "go to google, type in "---" and go to the third link down" and it would have been much more appropriate for the cantina then "here is the video".

likewise, you could have posted a link in this form to a thread located in the political forum and asked specific people to join the discussion. both of those options would have been less offensive and better accepted then what was done.

yes, calling someone a troll is very close to trolling itself - but ones actions should dictate how they are viewed, not what people say about them.


and as dan has stated, if you wish to continue the discussion, you can do so, but try to keep it on a level that will have the user leaving with something more then frustration.
 
I've had it with this thread. It has now achieved escape velocity of NONSENSE.

I've never asked a thread be closed, but if this continues, I'll ask
Dan to close this not because of hate, links, or the chocolate covering to HoHos, but because of the vacumn effect of no IQ.

1, We already discussed this philosophically in Dan's appropriate thread explaining what he did and why. Kendo opened an entire new thread, and old Can of worms for no discernable earthly reason. Seth, he did not publish a link- he was merely rehacking the loss of the old one.

2. Please, no more articulate posts to Kendo. Pearls...

3. He is using this as a platform, a spotlight highlighting his lack of character and spitefullness.

Do a search and you will see the problems of the past. Actually he is a pretty good troll. Been around a while. ;)
 
This forum is a place to come and talk about knives, kukes in particular, and for friends to meet and chat and enjoy themselves. If you can come to blade forum, you can go to CNN.com or Foxnews.com or wherever you want to get the news. Bill doesn't need this stuff, a lot of people don't need it. The fact that attrocities happen doesn't mean we have to hear about it from everybody with a keyboard, everywhere we go, 24/7. Hi forum is turning into Glocktalk! Pretty soon we will have people screaming about censorship and their first ammendment rights and calling the ACLU and getting each other banned. My opinion, and another example of why I only drop in once a week now instead of several times a day.
 
I lurk around here a lot and always enjoy the information and knowledge base. I am also a customer of HI. As an ardent lurker I became aware of the change of names and the complete turnarounds on view that this gentleman exhibits. Although I am not quite sure why he does what he does (possible mental issues), it is probably time to shut this guy down. As a lurker, I am done with this thread and reading anything from Mr. Kendo, who has now resorted to profanity, when all he has received from you guys is compassion and honest questions as to his attitude change. Pen, good moderator job and congrats. End of line :barf:

I have not watched the video and will not. If nobody watched it in some small way we would have defeated the effort of the murderers and in another small way paid some sort of honor to a guy who found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

thats an idea i never considered bill, i suppose if you ignore them they would figure it dont work. anyway lets end this with this last post by me. :)
