This is sort of a scaled back version of a bearded hawk/axe. Sized for belt carry. The axe head is forged from wagon wheel wrought iron with a 1075 cutting bit. The head took on some funky color hues when we etched it. Along with the normal silver and greys it has some golden/red cast to it in spots. We brushed the head with a scotch brite type polishing wheel after the etch. The head is scaled down to belt size. The length is 4 1/2" long but the cutting edge is still 3" wide.
The haft is real nice curly maple stained with aqua fortis and finished with boiled linseed oil. Its also scaled back a bit. Its 16 1/2" long.
It comes with a nice belt sheath. Held with copper rivets at the joints and then hawd sewn in between. Snaps on the keeper strap and belt loops.
We are asking $SOLD plus $10 shipping(priority with conformation) Our paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net
Thanks, Lisa.
