A customer got me into playing with ring guards, mostly in damascus but, here's my first in wrought iron. They've been alot of fun, I hope you like this one.

Wrought Iron Ring Guard Bowie
This Bowie has a 7 1/8" blade of 5160 spring steel with a hand-rubbed finish. The overall length of the knife is 12 3/8". The bowie's guard is a scrolled wrought iron ring with an etched finish. The handle is a Sambar stag crown with a stabilized Buffalo Horn throat and black/Turquoise spacers. The knife comes with a "guard molded" leather belt sheath with a "Timber Wolf" carving.
Price, with leather sheath: $450.00, plus shipping.

I must tell everyone that I'm the customer that got J. going on the Ring Guard Bowies. I gave him an idea to work with and a simple sketch of what I wanted and he brought it to life. I can't say enough good things about his work and his wife's. They make a great team and I would recommend them to anyone. I've had J. make three knives for me (a necker, paring knife and my "Wraith" Ring Guard Bowie) and soon we will be collaborating on a Poll Tomahawk. His work is outstanding...RW
