This hawk was forged from wrought iron wagon rim and has a 1065 cutting bit. Filework on the spine and belly. The head is appx 5 3/4" long and the cutting edge is appx 2 3/4" wide. The haft(19" long) is curly maple wrapped with leather and decorated with brass tacks. The leather is sewn with sinew. The haft is stained with aqua fortis and finsihed with boiled linseed oil and a coat of wax.
The stand has a forged upright held down with a hand forged nail. The sand also has a piece of the same wagon rim that was used to forge the hawk with. Its stamped with our touch mark. We are asking ***SOLD** $13 shipping for this hawk and stand. We accept paypal and money orders. Our paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net
Thanks

Looks like you are becoming one of the sought after hawk makers Kentucky. I love your work and am waiting on those belt axes you were talking about over in the Axe forum! Nice piece of work there, really liked the stand, nice touch.

Thanks guys. We appreciate the kind words, we havent forgot about the belt axes. We have just been backed up on hawks. We'er hoping to get started on belt axes soon.
