Ok here's the story. A friend of mine just had to move and left a stack of wrought iron for me to sell really cheap. This is iron from a whole wagon from rims to axle and running gear. There is probably 500 lbs of the material. He wants to see this stuff go so here is a once in a lifetime deal. I am selling this for him and asking $1.50/lb as it sits in the back yard. If I need to cut it up it goes for $2.00/lb plus shipping. If you are anywhere in the Salem Oregon area this is your chance to pick up some cheap material. Even if I cut it up it is cheaper than what I am asking for my wrought. Once this material is gone it is GONE. If you are interested please drop me a line either here or via PM/email. I will post pictures if any are desired.

I need to require a $10 minimum purchase on this material.

Thanks for looking

PS. I have more than enough for myself or I would have bought it.

There is a bunch of material there. Even some very unique stuff like the round shaft and angle. All is wrought. The round and angle have very fine grain while the wagon wheel rims are coarser

The friend of mine also wants me to dispose of his Post Vise. It has a 4.5 inch jaw and is in very good condition. He is asking $100 for it plus shipping if any.

Thanks again for looking

do u think it would cost more to ship than cost of it? i know u dont want or need the dumb questions but i shure would love to have it

I am assuming you are talking about the post vise. I have seen these go for $250+ for the condition of this one. It weighs about 45 lbs. Overall size is 16"x41". I would wrap it with shrink wrap for you. Check with UPS or post office to see what the rates are. I think UPS would be easiest. It will be shipping from 97317.

I am interested in the round rod. What is the dia. and how much of it is there and can you cut it into lengths that can ship in flat rate postal box? Thanks.

Dan

The big round shaft is 1.9" dia and there is 90" of it. I est the weight to be 70lbs. There is also a piece of 3/4 about 30" long. I will cut it to go in a flat rate box. I just shipped another flat rate an insured it. Cost almost 20 dollars. That's a 12x12 that I make a plywood box to fit inside. I had a box split open and lost a shipment so the plywood stops that. Anyhow let me know if you want it and I will cut it up.

Let me know the total for the 3/4 bar. Thanks. The 1.9 is a little big for me. I am going to turn it. Thanks

Dan the 3/4 bar is the one sticking through the blue crate. It is pretty clean. I do not see a problem turning it but it is wrought iron and I cannot see what it is like inside. I have had some split on me during the turning or tapping. I make my rounded stock by forge welding it to a rough round then turn it to finish. This gives me the most solid billet for turning.

Chuck, Got my wrought iron and it is great. Thanks so much. Tried to leave itrade but could not see how to do it. If you know how let me know because this was a great deal. Thanks again.

Great, that was fast, just mailed it Fri. You have to go to my profile to leave feedback. I will leave some for you also when I get back from vacation. Using the phone sucks when I have to navigate too many pages.

Take care

I calculate 24" to be 18.5lbs so that's $37 plus flat rate shipping.I can fit it in a med box so I think its $11 but will have to verify. I am on vacation att but will check tomorrow when I get home.

Give me a price for 2 foot of the 1.9 inch round please

I'll take a box of the wide rims. Cut it in 6" pieces. About 50 pounds worth is good. I'll send a PM,too.
Let me know the final weightplussshippingg and I will paypal,ASAP.
