I have a WSI Ranger knife Chris sent me some years ago.It was made by TOPS and has some cool features.Anybody eles have one? Just was wondering what you guys thought about the knife..:)

I picked up one of those from Chris and used it for a few years, I miss chatting with that guy.

I liked the way it carried, the range estimator was kinda odd but was fun to tinker with when a guy was waiting around in the woods and seemed to work the best I could figure. The blade was 1095 if I remember correctly and held up well, I actually liked the knife but ended up gifting it to a buddy that thought it was the best thing since sliced bread, last we talked he still loves and uses the knife.

I remember that knife. I liked it because it was stout, but compact. I think it was the first knife I saw that had a divot to use as a handhold for a bow drill fire. Chris was also a great guy, he knew it all but was a mellow and friendly guy.

I had a hand in getting the Ranger made for Chris..long story.Never got to take one of his courses but still enjoy the videos.I'll miss him...I'm not real PC savy but if I can figure out how I'd post a pic...got a few other neat toys you guys would probably like!

I think to host them here you do, but you can insert pics from an outside host.

I realize this is an old thread. :o

I wonder if there wasn't a lot of these made to begin with. I don't see much info on them. Doesn't seem to be many around second hand either. Or everyone likes them so much, they keep them. I believe the origional price for them was $130. There was an article in ASG about these years ago. Told all about the features, have to try to find it. Sorry about bumping old threads, didn't really want to start a new one.

Here's my Ranger, the flash kind of washed out the writing. Sad to say, I like it but just havn't used it yet.
