I recieved my July 09 copy of Tactical Knives in the mail today...

Just finished reading it and was really happy to see so many familiar names in there!!!

There is an AWESOME article on Magnussens Knives and woods kits. wildertools.com baby!! Check it out! Congrats Rick!! You earned it buddy, your blades are Sick! :thumbup:

There is also our own Joe Flowers excellant article on the new Becker line. Nice job brother!! I think he sold me on a Tac-tool. :cool:

As all that wasnt enough, there is a fantastic aricle on the PWYP gathering by Tim Stetzer. Man I need to get to one of those....

This is an all around super cool issue. The review of the bladetech Ulu is pretty sweet too. You guys need to score you a copy. TK is fast becoming my favorite rag...:cool:

Sounds bitchin. We have had a strong presence in that magazine lately. Pretty sweet.
 
I've been subscribed to that for 2 years I think and IMO it's gone from say one or two articles I thought were cool to 75% of the stuff or more.

The fact that they got some of the folks we know from the web on there to me makes it a lot better- cause we all know those guys are good writers and also they have used and handled a lot of difft blades.

I like that they are moving from military/tacticool to wilderness. Not so much SAR type wilderness blades either, as before.
 
That's awesome Rick, I have enjoyed your posts, lots of practical info and your website is nicely done. My lady is a paralegal and when kids come in a couple years I will be the Dad at home, nice personal touch with your info by the way. Regards my friend and hope you do well.

There is also a great article on the Tops Survival Wallet written by Garrett Lucas from Woodsmonkey. That kit is pretty sweet....
 
Man.... my issue better come soon... sounds like it a good one. You Woodsmonkey guys are cornering the market on magazine articles, eh? I didn't think Tactical Knives could afford to go so... "untactical"..... but I guess its good to offer the reader something different on occasion.

I think it is Rick.... The magazine is waaay better for doing so. They brought in a whole differant fan base now..

I think I am nowhere near good enough to write for em, but it very cool to see other guys who contribute to the monkey getting some exposure..
