Hey guys,

I need to get some 6al4v 5/32" thivk,or a bit thinner.for making pocket clips.my usual places dont have what i need, unless i want a $400 piece.so please let me know if you have any for sale.

thanks

Clips are usually as gusval said at around .040" and some are .050" but most production folders are the thinner.

5/32" would equate to .156-.160" thickness. Thats a big slab of titanium like for a beefy frame lock. If you are planning to mill it out from that thick to make your clip out of solid blocks then I can see needing it. If thats the case I do have some .158" but not a lot because its not called for that often. Depending on what you needed I could part with some of it, and certainly enough to mill out some clips from but again I don't have much.

STR..,

Yes,i machine them out of .157" TI. obviously they are'nt near that thickness when finished! i machine them down to .040",then contoure the attatchment point. thanks for the offer on some, but my pal Bobby branton came to the rescue once again

Here's a clip example from one of my recent knives!!

Very nice. I figured as much when you needed them that thick. Like I said though, I keep some around but usually just enough for maybe four larger frame lock folder lock sides, sometimes less. I used a little a while back so I know I have less than usual right now but its still plenty for making a bunch of clips that size though. Its just something that I occasionally use on some folders. Its not called for that often though; as I use the .125 and .140-145 the most.

Nice knife BTW!
