Hi all, new to the forum and have seen a couple of sales and wanted ads here, so I trust I am not off topic.
Would like to buy a CQC 6, can be used or carried, but not abused. Just tired of waiting, and my call to ECK today said I may be waiting another 2 to 3 years.....
This one will be carried and used....I work in Emergency Services.
Yes, since I first read about the '6 years ago, I've "always wanted one."
E-mail me with the details. I am ready to buy and packin' the cash, if we can make a deal.
Best wishes to all for the new year,...Joe

First, I want to thank everyone for all the help and offers of assistance. I have found not only one '6, but have TWO on the way. Be assured that if one becomes available, I'll post it here first.
When I get the knives, I'll post my thoughts and impressions....
Joe

Joe, welcome to the forums.
Keep your eyes open on the for sale forum and also on ebay. When one shows up it doesn't usually last a day, and sometimes doesn't last an hour.
Good luck.

The 2000 models seems pretty easy to come by. The older, single bevel satin finished are a little harder to find. The halfmoon logo 6's, forget about it.

Since you mentioned that you'll be using it everyday, may I suggest a 2000 model, regardless if it has a secondary bevel or not. I find the secondary bevel easier to sharpen. Can't screw up a secondary bevel. It's already there. As I mentioned before, Paragon Sports had one for $1,200. That was before Christmas. Give them a call if it meets your price range.

Trader1 obviously wanted to reply to this string:

David, I was just there two days ago and all they had in the case was the Dress 6. He might have it in back.

Called Paragon this AM, and there were none. Thanks for the reference, and the "post re-alignment" though!

Be well...Joe

Do you mean DAVE ELLIS !?

Sabre, Congrats on your 6. I played with that knife @ Paragon. Greatlock-up.

Dave Ellis has the Full Dress on sale, only $3,500.00

I gave a gentleman three recommendations on finding a CQC6 the other day. link

At the time, Mr. Ellis had one on his sight. I imagine that's were Mr. Wolfe found his. I would still try with Arizona Custom Knives and Les Robertson if your in the hunt.

I did indeed buy Dave Ellis' CQC6. Les Robertson didn't return my call looking for one, so I assume he has none, and Arizona Custom Knives folks had a hearty laugh when I called them to check their stock!

Another quick note. Paragon Sports in New York recently sold a CQC6, and they currently have in stock a pearl-handled damascus CQC6 priced at $4,000. Dave Ellis at ExquisiteKnives.com has the same thing at $3250. Not my cup of tea, but there you go.

BACK to PAGE 1.

I really appreciate all of the help and leads you guys have offered, as well the warm welcomes. I'm stickin' with this till one comes my way.

Good luck with the TUSK project! I like micarta / bolsters....and how about a rounded grip as in the customs? Very Emerson-esque. That rounded grip (and radiused edges) is one of the primary reasons I want a '6....as once you've handled one, the rest pale in comparison.

Good weekend all......Joe
