WTB: A used cheap GSM phone.

Found one, thanks!

Anybody got a used but solid GSM phone that they want to get rid of cheap? I need to replace a TDMA phone that is on my Cingular plan, but I don't want to buy a new phone and have them extend my contract.

I would prefer a slightly older phone that if GSM/Analog is possible, and the simpler the better. A Cingular SIM card would be nice too, but not essential.

I have a couple of Motorola Star Tacs...Will these work for what you need?...

Thanks for the offer, but I don't think they would do what I need. The way that I understand it virtually all of the StarTacs were either analog only , or TDMA/Analog. I have read that there were a few GSM StarTacs made, but that they only worked on one of the GSM frequencies.

I have a Samsung S105 you might be interested in. I can easily unlock it for use with Cingular.

Thanks for the offer, but I found a Nokia that is very very close to the model that she has been using, so I am gonna go with that. It took FOREVER to teach her how to use the one that she has and I really don't want to deal with all that again if I can avoid it.
