I need to find a set of scales 5 1/2" X 1 1/4" X min 1/4" of interior mammoth ivory. This is for a starting collector on a limited budget. If you have a set that you would like to turn into cash or a trade please shoot me a PM or an email, steve@vanderkolffknives.com.

Mammoth ivory can be sent legally in Canada, to Canada, and out of Canada. This is a fact. Frank Niro
 
That's a real tough one Steve. The last time I bought from Fine Turnage Production the set I wanted was far smaller, and he still had to chase them down. No, they were not cheap. If you can get the size you want I expect they would be about $250. I just saw some white G-10 . It looks pretty good. Hope you get what you want. That has to be a huge knife. Frank

Yes it a big one but not as big as you would think. The bolster is shape means that the ivory has to run almost the full length of the handle including the bolster. It is my Natchez Bowie style.

It's time for me to get into your web site again. I do enjoy it. You do lots of variety well. I'm still only doing the liner locks. Perhaps some white bone? Frank

The website is under construction but should be back, new and improved in a couple of weeks. Making the fixed blades is a kind of a break from making the folders.
