Hello folks, it’s been awhile, but recently got back into balisongs. Looking for a nice leather sheath from Gary Graley(G2), or comparable quality/style from current makers. Any input would be much appreciated, thx.

It depends on how the knife is made as to how well one of my sheaths will work. If you can post some pictures of your knife that would help, mainly showing in the closed position, so I can see the horns and how the handles widen out from the pivot.
Thanks Linus Knives Linus Knives for the referral 😇

Thanks for the mention Linus Knives Linus Knives

I only make slips for balisongs and at the moment, I am not taking on any more projects.

I will however say that Gary’s wet formed belt sheaths are an absolutely fantastic option. I would not hesitate.

Have a great week, folks.

G’morning! I wish i could post pics, but i’m a caveman when it comes to technology, showing my age, haha. Honestly not sure how to, also unable to direct message any members. My balisong is made by Machinewise, Tottori model. It seems that alot of the balisongs nowadays have no locking latch, and have similar dimensions for the most part. I wish i had not sold all my old school benchmade 42 models a couple decades back.

I've not heard of those knives, but did a quick search and find that they do not have a very pronounced horn, meaning it doesn't extend much past the width of the handle so the retention would be very very light. Which means it probably isn't a good candidate for my style of sheaths that relies on those horns to aid in retention.

Here’s a few examples, the Dobruski horns are a bit too wide, the 43 is a good size and Rick’s also works well

Same, I had not heard of them either til recently. Luckily my friend’s son is new generation balisong flipper, tricks and all. The older benchmade 42 models go for a pretty penny nowadays, wish i had atleast kept one of the 3 i owned…oh well. Bummer about not being able to utilize one of your balisong “holsters”…any chance you can make a fancy leather slip to prevent the balisong from opening up in my pocket when carrying? Appreciate everyones input thus far. Good day

For that knife, I would actually recommend SwissHeritageCo SwissHeritageCo as his slip's are very nice and for most of the one's I've seen he has a belt loop on them too, but if you don't need that he could do one without I would reckon.

Without a paid membership you are not able to send/receive direct messages, once SwissHeritageCo SwissHeritageCo contacts you I would recommend deleting the email you show above, just to avoid those that troll these forum waters...
