i only know RYP from the forums and when i was just reading the same thread that the OP linked to before heading over here i KNEW he was kidding.

he and the folks at ESEE have been friends for a long time and... in some circles a little good matured ribbing gets stuffed in anywhere there's an opportunity for it.

You're probably right. Xerox is a name that meant nothing and the company went on to build great equipment and became a known name. ESEE actually stands for something, builds shitty equipment and is unknown name. The more I think about it, the more your original post makes sense!

This is the full context of RYP's comment "I don't know what ESEE means. Something like Escuela Survival Something Something but its based on their survival training school in Peru and Colombia. So they are doers not marketers and ultimately that's why their knives are good.


What I see is both Jeff/Mike and RYP have great mutual respect for each other and their products are excellent in their own unique way. Having clarified this - I recommend to rename this thread to "Other meaning of ESEE" thread. Carry on folks.......

p.s. Maybe ESEE can make a contest out of this....best entry wins ESEE gear.
