wtf?

If it makes you feel any better... The knife sold for 180, the sheath that was with it 435 :-)

that's one hell of a typo, phil. :0
I looked at the history, and apparently a large number of people have been into the cocoa crack puffs.

I wonder if some shenanigans are afoot...

Looks like 200-250 seems ot be the local market......

If not, gonna be bunches of very happy, or very unhappy people out there...

That's me over there, and there are no shenanigans:cool:
I started that auction at a buck....
Anyone wants just the sheath, it's much less than $435:D

Every once in while, lightning strikes, and otherwise rational people are gripped with auction fever.

It's like a lottery win for the seller. The very first auction my wife put up was an NOS acccessory for a car we no longer had. The piece might have cost her $80, and had been in our basement for years. I was ready to toss it when she decided to try to sell it. We watched in amazement as the price climbed daily; 50, 100, 150, 200  We couldn't believe it. Closed for over $300, to a guy in Ontario who had to pay custom duties on that.

Then UPS crushed it in shipping.

Congrats, Scott. Hope they pay!

It happens. I had a Becker Brute shoot up to $300. Another time, I sold a $6 Tramontina for $70.

Yeh...I saw that too and was like WTF? That is selling for more than what the guy selling the Meaner prototype is asking. Wow...

I wonder if the bidders are newbs and are thinking it's a FBMLE or something. That's just insane.

I bought a copy of bill hensons mnemosyne about 2 years ago for something like 60$. I went to see how much they sell for now, and turns out the lowest you can get it is 600$ on amazon. but thats because it's rare, so it makes a little more sense...

also, my experience has shown me to never ever ever use ups. fedex has proven (for me) to be infinitely more reliable and cheaper across the board.

A CG FBM with survival sheath rig went for $800+ the other day...
Maybe peolpe really want a sheath with their knives.
WOnder if this means Boss Hog will be offering sheaths again.

SquealNut... you seem to be gettin all kind of lucky lately...
A Satin HOGFSH for a steal the other day, and now this. :grumpy:

You SUCK! :D :p

No really... Congrats!

I had that happen once over there.

I had a Swamp Rat for sale and had Busse (in this case Jennifer) in the search title.

Bidders ran it up and the final guy paid, but then emailed me immediately in protest that the knife wasn't a "Busse."

I had provided a full description of Swamp Rat and its relationship to Busse Combat in the auction for the knife.

Ended up refunding his money. He acted like he was letting me off the hook for misrepresenting the knife.

Sheer stupidity or buyer's remorse???

Only the bidder can answer the question.
