Hello dear brothers,
We are working on this new design for quite some time and thanks good God now we managed to transpose it into reality. Named 'Amur' as the biggest cat on Earth (the Siberian tiger) with which it is sharing it's strength, it was designed with a simple task in mind - to be a power cutter blade.
This guy evolved naturally from our Myth design, a knife name by it's owners 'the beast' - it shares the same blade and an even more adapted handle for intense cutting tasks.
We put together a blade with an enormous cutting power, that it thick enough to easily deal with batoning yet thin enough to make food or game prep a nice experience. Combined with a razor sharp grind and a scandi geometry that is easy to sharpen and mean while carving, the neutral grip handle shape offers excellent grip even for the large handed folks. The grippy micarta feels like sticking to your hand even if fully covered in blood.
The handle itself is indestructible in terms of non hazardous events, the micarta scales are held together by 2 solid brass Corby rivets and lanyard and high grade epoxy - trust me that even with a heavy hammer destroying it would be tough
The blade itself is made out using the best O1 high carbon tool steel alloy available (there should be something like 8 types out there) - usually called the tungsten vanadium O1.
Overall the knife measure app 8.7" with an app 4.2" blade.
Each of this knife designs comes together with a personalized dog tag. The dog tags are the original US army ones from plate to silencer and even the stamping machine is the army approved one.
On the dog tag you will find key data about your knife ( some directly and some using it's unique code through our website). On top of this each knife will also come with a dedicated QR code through which you will be able to find all data in just few seconds
The price for these first 2 pieces would be as follows:
1. the brown micarta - 130 usd (please add 35 usd for a nice vegetable tanned thick ox leather sheath made by my lovely wife - on request)
2. the black/red one - 140 usd (please add 35 usd for a nice vegetable tanned thick ox leather sheath made by my lovely wife - on request)
