I have currently owned this knife for approximately one and a half years, but it has only seen consistent pocket carry for around the first 6 or 7 months. When it was used, I made a habit of never locking it, therefore the lock has no wear on it. It has been both respectfully used and thoroughly maintained. Due to the large chrome carbides in D2 steel, putting the minimum edge radius and thickness behind the edge while still allowing it to be durable and chip resistant was achieved through convexing the edge, which was done very thinly, slightly, and--most important--uniformly. If you so choose to use an edge pro apex, worksharp, lansky, gatco, or any other constant angle sharpener for when you buy it, it can be done very quickly on this, as it is easier to sharpen to a steeper angle given a shallow one--like here (<~30deg edge).

The knife was purchased with the interest in balisongs, with this one being the more ergonomic of them. The knife handle has seen dirt, but was easily cleaned with soap, water, and compressed air. It has ball bearings to reduce friction at the pivot; no ball bearings have been removed, gone missing, left from the pivot, etc. There is no dirt at the pivot; none of that (very cringable) gritty noise exists. This is something more inherent to ball bearing pivots due to the fact that the silica has a larger mean free path out of the pivot area as compared to bushings and washers. I would also recommend that no oil is used for the pivots (it will only increase the likelihood of lint sticking to these internals.) I should also add that this balisong is just as smooth as the day I bought it, which was very very smooth.

I hope that when you buy the knife it will be used. Like I previously said, the knife was purchased with the interest in balisongs. Here you have the opportunity to buy a quality balisong second hand and get a feel for this niche without the worry of spending too much.

The knife comes in it's original box with the silk bag for those of you who love that. If you are interested and would like pictures, please email me; I can't seem to get the images to upload onto here

Thank you!
