I have a hybrid of 2 knives up for sale. This knife has the M390 blade from a L.E. 580-1102 Barrage (#33 of 50) and the handle scales of a regular production 581 Barrage. This knife has not been disassembled, only the scales were swapped out. The blade fires hard, there is no blade play, and the blade is nicely centered. The knife has never been carried, never been sharpened, and never cut anything. You get the knife, the 581 box, microfiber drawstring bag, and warranty card.
Now for the one issue, the aluminum scale screw on the top of the knife on the clip side broke off. While taking the scales off this screw was so tight that the head of the screw stripped out and I had to drill the head off. This does not affect the knife, the aluminum scale on that side is tight. I think to fix this Benchmade will need to install a new stop pin which I am sure that they would be happy to do.
