I can only comment on my use of it which was to take a couple of whacks at a wooden clothes line pole. (The white marks.) Other than that I don't know any specifics.

Didn't get a chance to measure the thickness, I'll do it tomorrow when I get a chance.
 
Measured Values:
Blade length starting from handle scales: 8 3/16"
Thickness at spine: .32"
Sorry this took so long, I didn't have a caliper and I wanted to be precise
