PVD Black finish but it’s more of a grey really

How is the lock on the knife? Is it like a box cutter where you push the button down and slide it up and down then it locks in place?

Yes, there’s a button you depress and then slide the blade upwards. It locks in place with a slight amount of play. It’s a good little envelop/package opening knife.
