The name Frank Centofante has been synonymous with quality handmade knives since 1970. In the early years, Frank mainly made straight knives and hunting knives. Then, later began making lock-back folding knives. Frank is a member of the Cutlery Hall of Fame and the Knifemakers Guild. Frank joined the Knifemakers Guild in 1971 and was on the board of directors for 20 years including four successive terms as president from 1989-1996.

Frank Centofante won many awards including, Red Watson Award presented by the Knifemakers Guild, Blade Magazine Publishers Award, Beretta Award as well as many others. He is co-author of the book "How To Make Folding Knives" along with knifemakers Ron Lake and Wayne Clay.

Sadly, Frank Centofante passed away September 6, 2009. His memory and knives will be treasured for generations.

This lock-back folder features a hand-rubbed satin finish blade (don’t know the steel), nickel silver bolsters, and stag scales. Nicely textured and well-matched stag scales. Lock up is very solid. I’m not the first owner as I bought this one about 30 years ago from A.G. Russell. I have not used it in any way it has been in my display drawer since purchase. Has the early Centofante Tampa oval blade etch and number 139. Nice snap. 3 3/4” closed. Asking $450 shipping included. Listed on other sites.

Not looking for trades. Will ship this by PRIORITY MAIL to U.S. addresses only. First I’ll take it followed by PM or e-mail.

Contact me with any questions.
