Based off of a style of knife from Kokemäki Finland, this puukko has several unique features. The completely polished blade with forged shoulders is typical of the style, creating a look which is both clean and organic. The end of the handle also has two bevels shaped into it which adds visual interest to the knife. This knife has a rhombic cross section meaning that the thickest point is the ridge running down the middle of the blade.
Master bladesmith John Myshkoff has a passion for not just making usable puukkos but they must be as attractive as they are ready for work. This knife is based around a carbon 95mm Lauri carving blade that has been re-profiled and hand Polished to 800x Satin finish. The handle is made out of African Padauk wood, characterized by a deep brownish red color. The sheath is made from Brown Cowhide with a fixed Belt loop. The knife and sheath are formed perfectly to fit one another. The knife is not just elegant but made for use!
